Message Series

What’s new and what’s next

God is more glorious than the moon, He shines brighter than the stars.
Job 25.5

To the Moon & Back

God is a God of abundance. He created the Sun and the Moon and the stars to reveal his glory. He created the world out of pure generosity for us, and then sent his Son to save and redeem it. In turn, Jesus fed multitudes, healed the sick, and raised the dead. Finally, he suffered and died for our sins and then rose from the dead to share the hope of eternal life with all of us.

Despite God’s abundance we can develop a scarcity mentality. We face the world and approach one another as if we are always in competition for very limited resources. This in turn can damage and even destroy our relationships, while increasing our own stress.

In this message series we will look at how to grow in an abundance mentality and in the process, grow in generosity.

Christmas Time

Living in anticipation that the promises of the Lord will be fulfilled, is far and away the very best way to live. Of course that means relying on God’s timing, which is always perfect but can often seem otherwise. Case in point, the coming of the long awaited Messiah, the Christ. The saints and heroes of the Christmas story all lived in anticipation that the Lord would fulfill his promises to them: the shepherds, the magi, Simeon, Anna, Elizabeth, and above all Mary and Joseph.

How about us? In this busy time of year can we really live in anticipation of good things to come, of grace and blessing? We really can if we use this time wisely and well, turning to repentance and forgiveness, cultivating hope, practicing gratitude, sowing the seeds of peace.

Join us this Advent for an all new message series taking a look  at really having a wonderful Christmas time.
