Holy Days

Two very special days in the Liturgical calendar come at this time of the year. From the 4th century the Church has always set aside a day to honor the Church’s martyrs and eventually all the saints were added to annual observance, hence ALL SAINTS DAY.  While the feast celebrates the Church “triumphant” of those souls already in heaven, a twin observance, ALL SOULS DAY, commemorates the Church “penitent” of souls in purgatory being prepared to enter the joy of heaven. Please joy us in prayer for all those who have gone before us in faith.
